I’ve been putting off the re-design of this site for months. Alcala Pet Care’s web site has been my testing ground since 1997. Here’s the latest version. Alcala Pet Care.
I still need to do some cross browser testing, add titles to links, add the photo gallery, check validations, and confirm the text is accurate.
uggh, I just looked at in IE for the first time. Yuck. I can handle most of these quickly, box model hacking my way to eden.
I’ve made the upgrade to WordPress 1.5 and really like the new features. My old template structure has changed and the stylesheet was mangled. So, instead of looking at a really bad design, I’ve switched to the default.
I’ve got some sites on the front burner, so this is going to have to wait a week or so for a fresh design.
What the heck is going on?
Well, I decided to upgrade to WordPress 1.5, so far it looks absolutely fab-u-luss
Patience, my friends, I need to modify a few pages to get the styles back up to normal, won’t take long, check back tomorrow.
There was an apocolypse 4 years ago… The 4 horsemen came riding along… Netscape 4.7 was given a ticke to ride the river Styx…
Now that I have illustrated my ignorance of religion, it is time to celebrate the 4th anniversary of Jeffrey Zeldman’s proclamation: To Hell With Bad Browsers. Anil Dash has become the grand marshal of the anniversary parade with his post about how this announcement has changed his life.
I was your average html hack willing to try whatever seemed interesting before being introduced to all that is Zeldman. Brian Rountree pushed me into the world of standards and I found new satisfaction in creating web sites that do more than look purty.
Thank you Zeldman for parting the pearly gates and melting the golden browsers and lighting that bush on fire. Is that what it says in the Bible?
