Barack Obama on Flickr

Barack Obama is a Flickr user. I’m looking forward to seeing his personal photos of these events instead of photos of him. Wouldn’t it be cool if he liveblogged one of the debates?

European Roses for Valentines Day

Two Tone Rose arrangementRoses are a must for Valentines Day. But why go with the same old long stem dozen approach. Eden Floral Designs in San Diego creates amazing floral bouquets with a European twist. I’ve ordered several times from this company and the results are always spectacular.

Pam Couvignou, the owner of Eden Floral Designs, has put together a selection of Rose arrangements for Valentines Day. You can even order a year’s worth. So, try something different for your sweetheart. Skip the big vase and deliver an arrangement that will be remembered.

Eden Floral is in the San Diego, California area. I don’t think they deliver nation-wide.

Update

Eden Floral Design is no longer creating floral arrangements. Pam has gone on to bigger and even brighter activities.

Platinum printing guide

My friend Satoru Yoshioka stopped by the other day and handed me his platinum printing rig. Platinum printing is a fairly easy process for your black and white negatives. Gary Auerbach has a great description on the process: Platinum printmaking made simple.

I’m hoping to get some chemicals this week and start printing this month.
